16850/5ORGANISERS of Westbury's third bypass protest march on Saturday say their campaign is building momentum at a crucial time.
Sixty-five protesters brought traffic to a halt in Warminster Road to support the Bypass Now campaign.
Organiser Dorian Jones, of Warminster Road, hopes the show of strength will persuade ministers to fund the bypass now a planning application has been submitted.
He said the proposed eastern bypass scheme was at the top of the Government's priority list and believes the money will be forthcoming.
He said: "We are just keeping our fingers crossed and hoping. We will be out in force again in July.
"We are all aware that this route is the only option and the way forward."
