LITTER, shopping and the decline of Warminster Hospital were under scrutiny at an annual meeting of the town council.
The three subjects were all discussed at the parish meeting of Warminster Town Council at Dewey House on Monday. Burt Paul, 79, of Broxburn Road said: "I remember reading the when I first arrived in Warminster and there was a lot of good news.
"Now all we hear about is shops closing, loss of services at Warminster Community Hospital and crime."
Much of the meeting concentrated on problems in the town, but mayor Martin Baker said: "It is not all doom and gloom. I think the town has got some very good features.
"During my time as mayor I have seen some very positive developments, the opening of the Avenue Early Years Centre in particular stands out."
