THE seven Black Watch soldiers killed in Iraq last year will be honoured by a memorial at the regiment's headquarters.
The Warminster-based regiment served in Iraq for six months last year between June and December.
A Celtic cross will be dedicated to the men during a ceremony at Balhousie Castle in Scotland.
Many soldiers and their families travelled from Warminster to Perth for yesterday's ceremony.
Cpt Bob Reid from the Black Watch Regimental Recruiting Team said the soldiers would never be forgotten.
He said: "The Black Watch has always been a close knit family and we are dedicating a memorial to our seven soldiers who lost their lives while serving in Iraq.
"We will remember their lives and give thanks to their contribution to the life of our regiment."
