CALNE'S slim promotion hopes were given a lift on Tuesday night as the challengers regained their goal scoring form.
The Bremhill View outfit were the top scorers in the Screwfix First Division until a recent drought saw them net just ten goals in the past 11 games.
Goals from midfielders Ben Moore and Kevin Banks, defender Steve Casey and strikers Owen Bryan and Chris King put Calne seven points below the promotion spots.
Manager Kelvin Highmore was delighted his side have got back to scoring ways.
He said: "It was a big weight off our shoulders and the players are now confident again.
"I am delighted with their performance and we could have even scored a few more. I am slightly disappointed that we conceded but overall it was a great performance."
Highmore received more good news yesterday when the semi-final draw for the Les Philips Cup was announced. Calne have avoided Premier Division leaders Bideford but will have to travel to Backwell United.
Highmore said: "We have a good chance of reaching a final this season. We have already beaten three premier clubs so I think Backwell will do their homework on us."
The semi-final tie has to be played before April 30.
