30374/2A NEW artists' co-operative is showing its work at an expanding venue in Bradford on Avon. Twelve local artists are displaying a vast selection of items at The Art House, in Silver Street.
They took over the gallery, which opened on Tuesday, and doubled its size by adding a second exhibition space and a covered outdoor area.
The artists, whose specialities include painting, mosaics, photography and sculpture, will manage the gallery as a group, and believe it will offer the public a rare opportunity to buy direct from the artists themselves.
Co-ordinator Liz Watts said: "We can talk directly to the public about our work and they benefit from lower prices as we take very little commission for running the gallery."
