POLICE are warning elderly people to be on guard against rogue builders in Wroughton. Sgt Max Sharman, pictured, says the police are investigating after being contacted by several residents recently.
His advice is: "Be wary of odd job builders.
"Householders should never accept work from doorstep callers.
"Never accept work from a builder unless they can provide an office address and landline phone number.
"Ask for references and only accept work from members of the Federation of Master Builders."
