THE offer of a £900 grant was music to the ears of the Swindon Male Voice Choir. The cash, from the Co-op, will allow them to increase their repertoire, attract new members and raise more charity funds.
The choir will use the award from Oxford Swindon and Gloucester Co-op to buy new music and to go towards other costs, such as travel.
Members hope to build up a quality music library so their listeners will never get bored.
Last year the choir, helped causes, including the St John Ambulance, the Mayor's Charitable Fund, Prospect Hospice and Women's Refuge.
Choir member Gareth Jenkins said: "It costs us £10,000 to run the choir each year and this is very welcome.
