CHIPPENHAM'S mini section is £250 richer thanks to the tireless voluntary efforts of one of the players mums.
NatWest Bank employee Helen Aitkin, whose husband Sean coaches at U11 level, won the company's Community Cashback Award Scheme after her tremendous amount of hard work for the club.
Helen said: "The Scheme was set up to recognise and reward an employee's contribution on a voluntary basis in their local community.
"I am delighted that I have been able to help the club in some way."
Helen's contribution to the U7 age group for the minis includes collecting the subs on a weekly basis, organising teams and player availability, as well as a fair amount of administrative work.
Mini chairman Ray Lewis was delighted with the donation.
He said: "We have 200 registered players in our Mini Section and this fantastic award will be used to benefit the entire bunch.
"We have not decided exactly how the money will be spent at the moment but it is a nice problem to have."
