A MOBILE phone thief has been warned he could be jailed. Cameron Galloway has been remanded in custody after admitting robbing a man of his phone in Swindon.
The 26-year-old from Gorse Hill, who struck on March 30, also made off with his victim's MP3 player and wallet.
He pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court and was told by the judge the most likely outcome would be a prison sentence.
Galloway, of Argyle Street, stole the items from Jonathan Couldridge.
Jonathan Simpson, defending, said that while his client had a poor record of previous convictions it was the first time he had been convicted of robbery.
He asked the court to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared by the probation service before he was sentenced.
Judge John McNaught adjourned the case.
He said: "It is a serious case and looks like a custodial sentence."
The case was not formally opened and details of the incident will be revealed at the next hearing.
