NATURE For All, a Swindon Council initiative, has launched a guidebook called Swindon's Green Secret.
The book contains photographs of all Swindon's nature reserves, including close-ups of wildlife by the photographer Laurie Campbell.
Among the sites photographed are Stanton Park and Barbury Castle.
The guide's purpose is to attract more visitors to Swindon's nature reserves and to make them aware of what they can see there.
Johannah Fawthrop, of Nature For All, said: "Swindon isn't really known for its green spaces so we wanted this booklet to enlighten visitors."
The guidebooks, which are free, can be obtained by telephoning the rangers team on 01793 490150.
A Nature For All event is being held at Stanton Park on April 17 from noon where there will be a range of activities for families.
