SWINDON builder Geoffrey Gee has been jailed for three months for perverting the course of justice.
Gee, 55, of Cricklade Road, passed on his brother's name to police after being stopped driving his car and gave the address of their parents where he was living.
A summons regarding the incident was sent to the brother shortly before Christmas last year.
The court heard that Gee had apologised for the distress he had caused. "Your Christmas present to him must have come as a bolt out of the blue, said Judge Keith Cutler at Salisbury Crown Court.
