A DAD was hit by a car as he crossed the road pushing his son's pushchair.
The man, from Penhill, was crossing the road in Blunsdon near the entrance to the Countrywide Store in Lady Lane when he was struck at about 11.15am yesterday.
He sustained minor injuries.
The silver car, which was similar in size to a Honda Civic, did not stop and police are trying to trace the driver.
PC Dean Hall, of Swindon traffic police, said: "The man was with his wife and children.
"His wife had already crossed the road.
"The car came out of the exit and did not stop."
The vehicle, which was driven by a man, was last seen heading south on the A419, towards the Turnpike roundabout.
Police want to find the driver of the car and anyone with information should call PC Hall at Swindon police on 01793 528111.
