IN response to the story in Thursday's paper about footballers. I would like to point out that people who know nothing about the game should keep their opinions to themselves.
All Mrs Tompkins did was show her ignorance.
As a Newcastle United supporter I was most disturbed by the scenes on Saturday but nowhere in her article did she mention that straight after the full time whistle both players were in front of the media apologising for their behaviour.
Perhaps Mrs Tompkins should stick to topics she has some knowledge of.
