YOUNGSTERS in Swindon have the chance to apply for the Phillip Lawrence Awards.

The awards recognise community contributions by groups of young people.

The scheme promotes the actions by young people and projects supported by schools to counter crime, violence and bullying.

Phillip Lawrence was a headteacher who was murdered as he intervened when a pupil was attacked outside his school.
