THE Australian airman killed in the Hercules crash in Iraq has been buried in Australia.
Flt Lt Paul Pardoel, Australia's only casualty of the conflict, was killed on January 30 along with nine British serviceman when the Lyneham-based Hercules transport plane he was in crashed north of Baghdad.
Gp Cpt Steve Duffill, former Lyneham station commander, said Flt Pardoel and his family made 'quite an impression on RAF Lyneham.'
