AS I mentioned in a letter you published some time ago the right for a citizen to bear arms was reaffirmed (not conferred) in our 1689 Bill of Rights, which is still extant.
The State of Florida in the USA has now authorised a law which permits citizens to kill in self-defence on the street without first trying to flee an attacker.
The state already allows citizens to shoot a potential attacker in their homes, place of work, or car.
Since crime will be one of the dominant issues in the forthcoming General Election I invite every candidate in the two Swindon constituencies, through the EA columns, to state if they agree with this action being taken in the UK, and if not, why not.
