NORTH Wiltshire District Council has once again been rewarded for its outstanding performance in planning with a £700,000 Government grant. The funding was allocated to North Wiltshire as part of the Planning Delivery Grant.
The announcement was made by deputy Prime Minster, John Prescott, on March 22.
The money is allocated to local planning authorities to help improve the planning system and deliver sustainable communities.
This is the highest award to any district council in the South West and the second time that North Wiltshire District Council has received a substantial grant in recognition of planning matters.
