Dinner lady Sue Lough has been suspended at Earl Danby School in Brinkworth following allegations that she used excessive force on a seven-year-old boy with special needs.
The lad's mother, Samantha Winstone, is now hoping to move her son to another school.
Brodie Winstone suffers from attention deficit disorder, dyslexia and dyspraxia. His mum claims Mrs Lough manhandled her son in getting him have lunch with other pupils after he lost a football game on March 23.
Mrs Lough has denied the claim but refused to comment. She is said to have defended her actions to the mother by saying she should not have to deal with the boy's behaviour. Tim Champion, spokesman for Wiltshire County Council confirmed the dinner lady's suspension while an investigation was carried out.
He said: "The member of staff has been suspended while the investigation is completed.
"This is normal procedure and is a neutral act which does not imply any guilt or wrongdoing."
Mrs Lough said: "Brodie doesn't trust anyone anymore. He does not want to go the school and does not feel safe there."
Mrs Winstone contacted Swindon Police to complain about the incident.
A police spokesman confirmed the allegations were being investigated.
