RELEGATED Pewsey battled to an impressive draw against sixth place North Leigh on Saturday as manager Steve Wootton declared his side would finish their campaign on a high.
The boss, who is stepping down in the summer, praised his struggling team's attitude and promised they would fight until the last day of the season.
He said: "The players' morale and team spirit has been fantastic this season and we will carry on until the last game.
"Noone is throwing in the towel yet and we are trying to end the season on a high."
The manager is looking for his side's first win since December and believes his team could cause an upset against seventh placed Carterton on Saturday.
He added: "The mood in the camp is still good despite the fact we are relegated.
"We are still capable of getting results as we proved against North Leigh."
Pewsey have managed to gain some creditable results this season and at times have not performed like a side in relegation trouble.
Wootton added: "It's not like we have been taking hammerings each week. Most of our games were just narrowly lost that is why this season has been so disappointing."
Craig Wall had an early chance to put Pewsey in the lead after two minutes. He ran through on a long ball but was denied by the home keeper Alan Foster. North Leigh started the second half, with a lot more determination but the Vale defence held firm to hold out for a point.
