MANAGER Colin Bush has set his sights on second place in the Screwfix Premier after a crushing victory over strugglers Torrington on Saturday.

The Wiltshire side are just four points behind second place Frome, who lost 1-0 at Devizes on Tuesday night, with two games in hand.

The manager hailed his team after a successful first season in the Premier Division.

He said: "We have established ourselves now and we will be delighted if we finish third.

"But with Frome slipping they have opened the door for us to challenge for second place and we will have a good bash at catching them."

Goals from Alan Griffin and John Eldred and the manager's son Ryan Bush gave Corsham their 20th league win. The boss feels the result has given his side a confidence booster ahead of Saturday's clash at Bridport.

"We will go to Bridport with belief and I will have almost a full set of players to take with me for the first time in a while," Bush added.

Inspirational midfielder Frank Coleman and Gary Blackwood make there return to the side but Bush will be missing youngsters Scott Lye and Jamie Lyons as they will be playing for the U18 County side in the Mick Parry Cup final.

Corsham took the game to the guests and went darting into the lead after just 25 minutes.

Defender Dan Beck unleashed a cross into the box for Griffin to strike in at the back post.

The visiting keeper was making life difficult for the Corsham strikers and pulled off a string of good saves to keep the score at 1-0 going into the interval.

The hosts kept the pressure on Torrington and doubled their lead on 70 minutes. A long ball was sent into the box and the keeper parried it into the path of Eldred who struck in from an acute angle.

Two minutes from time Corsham grabbed a third when Alan Webb's pass found Bush who powered in past the advancing keeper from the edge of the box.
