GAZETTE & HERALD: PARISH councillor Sue Baker, who suffered a suspected heart attack on Monday, said she was amazed with the treatment she received at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.
Mrs Baker, 52, was rushed to hospital on Monday evening when she started having severe chest pains.
The Calne Without parish councillor had been having intravenous steroid drips to treat her Multiple Sclerosis the week before, and thinks this may have triggered the problem.
"It was really frightening," said Mrs Baker, of Stockley. "My husband Laurence called an ambulance and from the minute the paramedics got here I knew I was in safe hands.
"I went to A&E, the chest pains assessment ward then the acute assessment ward and they were all brilliant from the housekeeping staff to the consultants.
"I know how much pressure they are under and they all kept smiling through.
"I wanted to let everyone else know they were so wonderful and to say a big thank you to all the staff. They are so deserving."
Mrs Baker was released from hospital the following day and is recovering at home.
