GAZETTE & HERALD: ASPECTS of life in Calne are being discussed by the community area partnership, which is urging everyone with an opinion on the town to get in touch.

They want to know everything from the town's main landmarks, focal points, best and worst schools, healthcare and public transport.

The survey goes hand in hand with the Calne Community Area Plan and is based on the Countryside Agency healthcheck criteria.

It is a wide ranging research project into all areas of life for residents of Calne and the surrounding villages of Derry Hill, Bremhill, Hilmarton, Heddington, Compton Basset and Cherhill.

For a number of months a small group representing residents, businesspeople, town, district and county councils has been working to gather some of this information.

It now needs public support in widening the scope of the research through thoughts and opinions on a range of issues.

The full list of questions is available online at www.markettowns.org and the results will be published in the summer.

Residents can answer the full list of questions online at www.markettowns.org. Users are asked to register first and the find Calne among the menu.

Comments must be received before midnight on April 24 in order to be included in the results.

Calne Community Area Partnership was established to identify the concerns of the people who live, work and play in the town.
