THE governors of Lavington School have applied for planning permission to build a four-bedroom house in the school grounds as part of a scheme to widen the hazardous entrance drive.
They have planning permission to demolish the existing caretaker's house and build two detached and two semi-detached houses.
They intend to sell off the land to a developer and use the money to improve the drive and do other improvements.
The governors have decided to demolish a redundant cricket pavilion to make way for the caretaker's replacement house.
