WILTSHIRE Police are urging caravan owners to be extra vigilant after a spate of thefts in the county.
Since the start of the year a total of 13 caravans, valued together at £112,000 have been stolen.
Most have been taken from rural locations, including Ashton Keynes.
The caravans were stolen from the driveways, farmyards and secure compounds.
Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Capstick, of Wiltshire police, said: "The thefts of caravans are particularly prevalent at the moment.
"And it is only right that we bring this to the public's attention.
"I would ask all caravan owners to ensure that their property is safe by carrying out simple security measures.
"This will hopefully ensure that property is kept safe and the job of the thieves is made considerably more difficult."
