AGE Concern Swindon has launched its annual campaign to encourage older people to boost their income by claiming the benefits they are entitled to.
Called Your Rights Week, it urges older people to combat the steep increases in water rates, council tax bills and energy prices by seeing if they could be making a claim for more money each week.
Council tax benefit, housing benefit, attendance allowance and pension credit are just some of the benefits available to many older people to make life a little easier.
Volunteers from Age Concern will be out in the Brunel Centre today. They will be able to answer questions about claiming for benefits and how to go about registering for them.
