Devizes U16s travelled to Swanage and Wareham on Sunday to play in a three way event and finished their season as tournament champions.
In the first game, Devizes played Becchenians from Kent and ran out winners 27 -7.
It took the Saddlebacks 20 minutes to get the two-hour coach trip out of their system and the pressure was soon converted into points.
Scott Franklin looked very sharp as he ran in the first of his two tries of the match.
The pack won plenty of ball from the set pieces but were beaten to the rucks and mauls early on.
In the second period, Devizes took decisive control and ran in four more tries.
The second game was against Stevenage, who had also beaten Becchenians convincingly to set up the tournament decider.
Stevenage had a number of big, strong runners, but the Devizes team showed no mercy in cutting them down by determined, low tackling.
With Nick Tuckett winning good ball at the line out and Tom Cary and Adam Townsend making telling tackles, the backs had plenty of ball to attack. Had the backs not spilt so many passes the scores would have been much more convincing, but the day was capped with a thrilling try.
The switch to fly-half by man of the match James Last, and Dan Mayland to centre enabled the backs to function more effectively and play fast and open rugby.
From a five yard scrum, the ball went on the blind side and Tim Smith put Guy Perrett in for his first try.
The best was saved for last. Nick Tuckett won the line out on the right. The ball passed through six pairs of hand ending with full back Guy Perrett diving in the left hand corner for the try of the day.
This outstanding try sealed the win and the final score was 15-5 to Devizes..
Team manager Dave Scratchley said: "It has been another successful season on and off the pitch and this result sets the lads up for next season."
