I FELT I had to write after reading your detailed story of Chippenham Town Football Club's epic win against Swindon Town Football Club at the County Ground for the Wilts Premier Shield.

I went to watch this match and I have never watched such a thrilling or exciting game as this before.

After Chippenham went three goals down by half time most teams and supporters would have resigned themselves to defeat but they didn't. The whole squad came out for the second half and they trounced Swindon Town in a very professional way.

I have just started supporting Chippenham Town and I was very proud on Tuesday night to be a supporter.

I would like to say to Steve White, Ronnie Needhorn and the whole squad a big well done on a superb match. You're all a big credit to the town and I hope more local businesses will realise this and support this fine football club.

During the first half when Chippenham were losing 30 a Swindon Town fan, if you can call him that, who was sitting behind me was very rude and very aggressive about the Chippenham Town team.

I wasn't going to go down to his level, so I bit my tongue and said nothing. I hope if that so-called fan reads this he will realise a game is not won or lost until the final whistle especially if you play against Chippenham Town who are still top of the Southern League Premier Division. He will know who he is.
