CHIPPENHAM NEWS: A 35-YEAR-OLD man has denied conning a driver out of £60 at the Leigh Delamere M4 services near Chippenham.
Paul James pleaded not guilty to deception when he appeared at Chippenham magistrates' court last Wednesday. James, of Pembroke Road, Clifton, Bristol, is alleged to have told the motorist he had run out of petrol and needed the cash to get home. The case was adjourned until May 25.
James admitted failing to surrender to the court in January 27 and was fined £50 for that offence.
