CHIPPENHAM NEWS: THIRTY new jobs could be created in a planned £6m extension at a cooked meats factory.
Hygrade Foods Ltd, on Corsham's Leafield industrial estate, hopes to expand its factory and site director Allan Caudwell said this should lead to an extra 30 full-time jobs over the next three years.
Mr Caudwell said the company, which produces cooked meats for Waitrose and Duchy Originals, had been growing and needed extra space.
If plans are approved by North Wiltshire District Council three extensions will be built, including new offices and a new production area. Extra car parking will also be included to cater for the new staff.
At a Corsham Town Council meeting on Wednesday councillors recommended approval for the plans.
