A JOINT investigation by benefit fraud officers has led to a former Dilton Marsh man appearing in court.
Officers from West Wiltshire District Council and the Department for Work and Pensions discovered Jeffery Hughie Castle, 38, of Woodland View, had claimed £7,245.37 of benefits he was not entitled to.
Castle, who now lives in Marchwood Road, Totton, was given a two-year conditional discharge after admitting six counts of making false representation to claim housing and council tax benefits.
