AN animal feed company will start exporting its homegrown oats to Turkey. Gro-Well Feeds Ltd, on the Bowerhill Trading Estate near Melksham, has sent its first batch of feed to Turkey, after it won funding from the Trade & Investment Passport to Export scheme.
One product, Tiger Oats, is a blend of home grown oats for horses.
The company was given funding to attend the Al Fares Show in Dubai last year, where it formed contacts within the business community.
Managing director Stephen Tucker said: "We realised that despite a number of trips to the Middle East area in the last two years to support our distributor and meet potential customers, it is difficult to break through into this important international market."
