SIGNATURES backing the Wiltshire Times Save Our Hospital Beds campaign are still pouring in.
More than 1,500 people have signed the petition to save the inpatient beds at Melksham Hospital.
Half the hospital's 24 beds have already closed and half will close at the end of June, after two GPs responsible for providing care ended their contracts.
Carol Clarke, joint chief executive of Kennet and North Wiltshire and West Wiltshire primary care trusts, has been invited to a meeting in Melksham Assembly Hall to discuss the future of the hospital. This will take place after the General Election.
Talking at a Patient and Public Involvement in Health Forum, Mrs Clarke said the county's health services are facing the most radical review for 25 years.
She said change to the health services was necessary to continue providing the best possible care to communities and that PCTs had a responsibility to engage with communities that might be affected.
The meeting was the first conference of the Kennet and North Wiltshire Patient and Public Involvement in Health Forum in Devizes, which was attended by more than 50 organisations.
