THE prolific Dave Percival produced two late pieces of individual brilliance on Saturday to keep his Trowbridge Town side at the top of the Hellenic League Division One.
The Bees' top scorer carried the ball past two defenders before firing a powerful shot into the net to break the deadlock with just three minutes remaining.
He then repeated his run from the left wing but this time picked out Gavin Eyre, who forced the ball home from close range to secure the valuable three points.
Percival's strike has taken his tally for the season to 29 goals in 29 league matches, although manager Neil Kirkpatrick believes taking him out of his usual centre forward position worked wonders.
He said: "Dave was having a quiet game. We decided to move him to wing back so he could run at them from deep and it certainly paid off.
"Matt Cooper was probably having a better game than Perc was on Saturday but moments like that are exactly what he is capable of.
"If he can do that every game I don't really care how he plays for the rest of the match."
Easington enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges as Lee Wilson was forced to clear off the line on 18 minutes after an initial shot had hit the post.
After the break it was Trowbridge who dominated and Michael Barnes almost put the league leaders ahead with a chip that crashed off the crossbar.
