A HOSPITAL project has won a national award and been praised for its excellence. The initiative being run at Trowbridge Hospital is called Improving Patient Discharge Planning and Promoting Independence.
It aims to help patients receive care in their own homes and plan the admission and discharge of patients more effectively.
The hospital was one of eight chosen from the 30 who bid for the award, given by the Community Hospitals Association, in the joint working category.
Barbara Moore, chief executive of the CHA, said: "The standard of submission was very high. We were very impressed with the Trowbridge project they did really well."
