AN 18-YEAR-OLD motorist was arrested on suspicion of driving on drink and drugs after a car crash left a woman with serious internal injuries.
A black Ford Orion crashed at 11.40pm on Saturday on the A365 near George Ward School.
One passenger, a young woman from Trowbridge, suffered serious internal injuries and was taken to the Royal United Hospital, Bath.
Her condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
The teenage driver from Melksham was arrested but has since been released without charge.
There were two other passengers in the car, who suffered minor cuts. The road was closed until 4.30am.
