ADI VIVEASH'S season is definitely over and Cirencester's will be too if they fail to beat Stamford at the Corinium Stadium.

Veteran defender Viveash, pictured, suffered ankle ligament damage in the 1-0 defeat at Merthyr on Tuesday a result which leaves Ciren three points off the Southern Premier play-off zone with three games to go.

With four teams above them in the race to break into the top five, Brian Hughes' men must win all of their remaining games and keep their fingers crossed.

"Tuesday was win or bust if you like," said Hughes.

"The lads think it's over now so hopefully that'll take some of the pressure off and the remaining performances will be less edgy.

"We just want to win the last three games for our own benefit and we'll see what happens.

"I'm sure there will be more twists and turns to come."

Viveash joins Neil Arndale on the 'season over' list, but Kevin Halliday may make a surprise return if Hughes is willing to gamble on the full-back's recurring knee injury.

Chippenham still need three points to make certain of a play-off place, but the title and automatic promotion remains the prime target.

Third-placed Bedford arrive at Hardenhuish in a crunch clash, while Histon, a point behind the stuttering Bluebirds in second, have the easier looking proposition at home to already relegated Solihull.

Steve White will be without Sam Allison who suffered cracked ribs in the defeat to Aylesbury last Saturday.

Scott Walker is also doubtful with an ankle injury.
