IT is vital that the general public is aware of what the Swindon Gateway developers are offering at Coate as this is the most outrageous proposal to land on Swindon's doorstep.
In place of beautiful open views of countryside and hills, that are unique in this area, there will be tower blocks that will blot out everything. Instead of peace and tranquillity there will be noise, traffic and pollution.
Instead of a haven for wildlife we shall be left with a large duck pond.
Nearly 16,000 people have already signed the Save Coate! petition. Swindon Friends of the Earth asks everyone who has a passion for the area to write to the Planning Department of Swindon Borough Council at Premier House and say no to this planning applications.
