SUPERMARINE'S league position is starting to look a little precarious.
A 4-1 home defeat to Yate on Saturday and results elsewhere going against them leaves the men from Hunts Copse looking at the serious threat of relegation.
Despite banking their best points total in four seasons in the Southern League, Marine have been sucked into trouble with just three games left to play in Division One West.
Victory for Bracknell and a draw for neighbours Oxford City leaves Mark Collier's side just a point above the drop zone.
But with a game in hand and a superior goal difference, the manager is refusing to panic.
"We're still positive," he said. "We've played Bromsgrove, Clevedon and Yate in our last few games and we knew we were in for a tough time.
"Other results haven't gone our way but I still much rather be in our position than Oxford or Bracknell.
"We have a game in hand and a better goal difference so I still think that three points for us should be enough.
"We're not panicking. We're fully aware of our position and it is a concern but we've still got three games to play and it's all in our own hands."
Marine looked to be well on their way to security half way through Yate's visit.
Dave Gee had given the home side a half-time lead, pouncing on the break to volley past Tony Court.
Gee soon beat Court again, rounding the Yate keeper but his tame finish was cleared before it could reach the net.
Nathan Edwards also shot over when well placed before half-time.
But Marine were immediately pegged back at the start of the second half when Darren Edwards scored from the spot after Lee Jeffries was fouled.
Jeffries scrambled in Yate's second, Adam Simms hit the third following a fine move and Edwards added a fourth to keep the visitors in the promotion hunt.
Collier added: "We had a game plan to keep it tight and hit them on the break and that worked in the first half.
"We were one up from a good goal by Dave Gee.
"He missed another one soon after that or we could have been two up at the break. But they've got a penalty in the first minute of the second half and after they went 2-1 up they bullied us out of it."
