PLACES are filling up for this year's Race for Life events in Swindon. Cancer Research UK's Race for Life will be returning to the town for the sixth time in June.
The popular five kilometre, women-only fundraiser takes place on both June 4 at 2pm and June 5 at 11am at Lydiard Country Park.
So far the Saturday race has 890 participants.
The Sunday race is even busier with 1,866 runners already signed up.
The maximum capacity for each race is 3,000.
The course uses Lydiard Park to its fullest with a one-lap course mainly on grass, going through the woodland and alongside the house.
In 2004, 3,000 women in Swindon raised £177,000. Enter at www.raceforlife.org or call the hotline 08705 134 314.
It costs £8.50 to register.
