VOLUNTEERS are needed to help brighten up the lives of older people in Swindon.
Age Concern has nearly 200 volunteers in the Swindon area, but is always looking for more people, who can give an hour or two a week to visit someone regularly in their own home.
Sarah Jefferies, of Swindon Age Concern, said: "Our volunteer visiting service supports over 100 people at present. But demand is enormous and we always have a waiting list.
"We're looking for no special skills just some warmth and humanity and, of course, some time.
Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Mel Richards by calling 01793 692166.

"We provide both induction and support to make sure people are able to do the job enabling older people in a caring way to enjoy life to the full."
