SWINDON ONLY: THE Adver is offering readers the chance to come face to face with their election candidates. At two special meetings Swindonians will be able to quiz the people vying for their vote on the issues that really matter to them.

On Monday, April 25, we will be in North Swindon and the next day we move into South Swindon.

The meetings will be chaired by Mark Waldron, editor of the Evening Advertiser, who urged readers to come along.

"We have organised these meetings to make sure readers have the chance to put the candidates on the spot," he said.

"It is important to find out the views of the candidates on key issues as people make up their minds about who to vote for on May 5.

"We are pleased to be able to give readers this opportunity and play our part in democracy.

"Many people feel politicians are too distant and don't listen but these meetings will give voters the chance to directly challenge all the candidates.

"I hope lots of readers will come along."

The North Swindon meeting takes place at 7.30pm on Monday, April 25, at Penhill Primary School, Alton Close.

The South Swindon meeting will start at 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 26, at Westlea Primary School, Langstone Way.

Questions will be taken from the audience on the night but anyone who wants to submit a question for the candidates in advance should fill click on the link below.
