I FEEL that I have to respond to the letter from Rob Tomkins of Savernake Street, stating that I said recycling is a waste of money.
If Mr Tomkins had read my letter properly, he would have realised that the point I was making that it was a waste of our council tax revenue delivering the boxes for recycling at £5 per household if we who live in Wroughton High Street are not included in the scheme.
I, like Mr Tomkins think that recycling is very commendable, and I am sure he would have noted that I had filled my box only to find that I was wasting my time, as it would not be collected.
I did sing the praises of recycling in Lyndsy Scanlan's report on recycling and I hope that puts the record straight.
