I RECENTLY organised a charity dance in aid of the Prospect Hospice, at the Winner's Lounge, Swindon Town Football Club.

Around 280 people attended and just over £2,100 was raised.

I would like to thank all the participants who gave their services for free: Penfold, Locomotion, Pete Townsend and the All Stars, Barely Legal, Carl Sharpe as Bryan Adams and Les Paites as Elton John, Fay and Kelly, Tony Williamson and the Party People Roadshow, Simon Law who provided the PA, Ian Chandler for the Lighting Rig, and Chris Abrook of STFC for the use of the room. Impact for the banner, BHL Distribution and BBC Radio Swindon..

Arkells, Courage and Cotswold Drinks for supplying drinks for the artistes, Jane and Nigel from the Palette Cafe for refreshments and Kite Press. Also thanks to Flicky Harrison, Rachael Green and Sheryl Crouch of the Evening Advertiser and Rachel Freegard.

All companies who supplied raffle prizes, all those who sold tickets, everybody who helped on the night and those who attended and made it a fantastic evening to remember.
