CHILDREN from Swindon are invited to take part in a competition designed to increase safety in the home.
They are to design safety mascots for the British Gas safety website www.britishgassafety.co.uk
A panel of judges will pick seven regional finalists, who will receive £500 worth of vouchers for a computer shop to spend on equipment of their choice.
The final winner will receive a further £1,500 worth of vouchers.
Chris Bielby, head of safety for British Gas, said: "This competition is a fantastic way of getting safety messages out to younger people who are often enthusiastic enough to make sure their parents also take safety seriously."
