TWO Swindon men have been charged after stealing a car and caravan from a home in Cricklade.
One of the men, aged 21, has been charged with two counts of handling stolen goods, the other, aged 32, has been charged with one count of handling stolen goods.
Both of the men have been bailed and are due to appear at North Wiltshire magistrates court in Chippenham on May 5. The men were arrested on the A419 near Cricklade apparently travelling in a stolen car, which was towing the caravan, which had been taken from a house in Cricklade just minutes before.
It follows a spate of caravan thefts in the county with many caravans being taken from the driveways of houses, others from farm yards, and others from secure compounds.
Police have not revealed the names of those arrested.
