GAZETTE & HERALD: Two special volunteers are needed to help a charity offering vital services to children with special needs.
Hop, Skip and Jump, based near Kingswood, provides day care and supervised play for children and young people with life limiting and life threatening illnesses or any special need, who visit mainly from Wiltshire, Bath and Bristol.
The charity relies solely on charitable donations, and would like to build an effective strategy for their collection tins.
Hop, Skip and Jump is looking for a volunteer to identify local businesses who might display their tins, liaise with those businesses on an ongoing basis and spot any potential opportunities for further fundraising.
The charity also needs some help with keeping its records accurately and for a volunteer to help input information onto its PC to keep their database up to date.
Basic IT skills would be an advantage, but Hop Skip and Jump will train any volunteers how to use its database.
Volunteer Co-ordinator for Hop Skip and Jump, Shirley Carmichael said: "We are looking for volunteers for two very special challenges, people who want to use their existing organisational skills to benefit our charity.
If you think you could help please contact the centre's fundraising consultant, Helen Plummer at Eventy on (01225) 337 363 or info@eventy.co.uk
