WILTSHIRE'S police helicopter was instrumental in the arrest of a couple who allegedly stole a TV from Woolworths in Devizes on Saturday and made off with it.
Police were informed at about 12.30pm that the man and woman had entered the store and made off with the combined TV and DVD player, valued at £150.
A member of staff followed the pair but lost sight of them. They were located by the crew of the helicopter which carried out a containment exercise until police officers managed to arrest them.
A 24-year-old Devizes woman has been charged with the theft of the item and will appear before Kennet magistrates in Devizes on May 3.
A man of around the same age was arrested on suspicion of theft, criminal damage and assaulting a police officer and has been released on police bail.
