TWO determined women are embarking on a fundraising mission ahead of their trek across the Great Wall of China.
Nicki Styles, 31, and her aunt Gillian Hoare, 41, are going to China in October to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, in London.
Before their trip they have been raising sponsorship money.
On Saturday the Nine Elms Pub, in Middleleaze, held a band night in aid of their trek.
The night raised £306 and the organiser made this up to £500.
And on Sunday Gillian will walk for four hours on a treadmill at the Fitness First sports centre, in Eldene.
During the walk, which will begin at noon, members of the public are invited to go along to show their support and sponsor her.
Nicki's youngest son, Brandon, four, has received regular care from the hospital for a metabolic disorder, which requires him to take medication six times a day to stay alive.
