CHIPPENHAM NEWS: A STYLIST from Chippenham has proved red heads have more fun at a top national hairdressing competition.
Lisa Manning, of Oasis Hair Salon, won third prize at the Spring Salon Competition held at the Manchester G-Mex Arena on Sunday.
The 19-year-old wowed the judges by styling her model with a red Mohawk style in the Junior Ladies Fashionable Day Style category.
She said: "It was quite a funky short style with both sides a different length and red mohican-style spikes on the top.
"It is the first competition I have won although I have come sixth before.
"It is quite difficult to get into the top three."
Hundreds of hair salons from across the country entered the national competition.
Miss Manning has worked at the Oasis Hair Salon, in Sheldon Road, for the past four years.
In recent weeks she has stayed at the salon after work to perfect her model's hairstyle.
Entrants were given only 18 minutes to blow dry and perfect the style before the judging began.
