HUGE cranes are dominating the skyline around Lafarge Cement in Westbury as its £10m refurbishment programme gathers pace.
For the next 10-12 weeks engineers will be working round the clock to replace nearly a quarter of the works' No.1 kiln.
The new steel sections being added in weigh more than 200 tonnes and are so big they have to be assembled on site.
The second kiln will continue to operate while work is carried out on the first and it will see an even larger section replaced later this year.
